White Point dive in Los Angeles is one among the most exciting. It features white bacterial mats on the bottom and is near the hypo-thermal hot springs. You will also find an old shipwreck and rock reef at the dive site. Giant sea stars, urchins, and cold water anemones are also common sights here. High tide is best for diving.

Leo Carillo

Leo Carrillo La is a California state parks located along Los Angeles County's southern coast. It is part the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area. The park has 1.5 miles stretch of beach that extends to the Santa Monica Mountains. The pristine waters off Leo Carrillo State Park are a great place for scuba divers.

Divers have three options when it comes to Leo Carrillo. These dive sites are great for beginners, with easy entry points and plenty of parking. You can also go night diving or lobster hunting at these sites, and you will find lots of marine life.

Santa Barbara Island

Santa Barbara Island has some great offshore dive spots. To reach these sites, visitors can board a visiting boat. These sites are usually rocky and are good hunting and photography grounds. In addition, there are many healthy kelp beds and purple hydro coral in these areas. This area is ideal for Southern California waters because of its excellent visibility.


On the island, visitors can also participate in kayaking and snorkeling. If the weather permits, you can even go tent camping. The island is home to a large population of pinnipeds including harbor seals and northern elephant seals as well as California sea lions. These animals can be seen in the rocks surrounding the sea lion nestery. There are several overlooks on the island.

Anacapa Island

There is a wide variety of marine life on Anacapa Island. The area is home to one of the first Marine Protected Areas in the United States. The region offers diving that is not only great for beginners but also for seasoned divers. The waters around the island are relatively warm and are ideal for diving with a wetsuit. Surface temperatures can easily reach 70deg F (21deg C) in the late summer and fall. However, temperatures can drop to as low as 50 degrees F (10 degrees C) in the winter months. It is recommended to wear a 7mm suit. During these months visibility is typically at least 100ft (30M).

Dive charter boats, as well the Island Packers, can take you to Anacapa. There are numerous dive sites available on the island, including a 40-foot-tall arch rock. These sites can also been viewed from the water surface by snorkeling gear.

Veteran's Park

Veteran's Park is a Green Space on Ocean Drive that has a playground and fields. This is a wonderful place for families to come together. It is located close to the beaches. It offers great views of the ocean from the park on sunny days. The park is open all year and offers a lot of activities.

Access is easy from the parking lot. Veteran's Park is the best spot to start your diving journey if you're a novice diver. It is easily accessible with restrooms and parking. The meter is always checked, and there is also an outdoor shower for rinse gear. A changing area is available in the park, with restrooms being close to dusk.
