PADI's Specialty Emergency First Response course (EFR+CFC), is designed to help individuals in situations where they might need to use first aid. Course content

Pre-requisites

It emphasizes the importance in minimizing risks. Non-divers are also taught so they can be more prepared for an emergency.
Students who successfully complete the EFRI program are eligible for the PADI Instructor Examination. Each course begins with the prefix EFRI, and is numbered sequentially. Each course lasts for one hour. It includes 55 minutes class time and five minute breaks.
Refresher course
The EFR Refresher Course is designed for people who want to brush up on their skills. The course is divided into two parts: a Skill development session and an Exam. EFR refresher is optional but highly recommended by the EFR Instructor Guide. The refresher course provides the opportunity to learn about the latest developments and techniques in CPR/first-aid. You will also learn how to use the AED. In this course, you'll also learn how emergency responders can be trained.

It also fulfills the requirement for Professional Rescue Diver courses and other courses that involve CPR training. Cost
The Emergency First response course is a course lasting half a day that teaches emergency management skills.
