Padi Tec 40 Diver Course

The Tec 40 Diver program is designed for those who want to learn how to dive in emergency situations. The course comprises three training dives as well as a confined diving experience. There are also knowledge development sessions and practical application. This certification can only be obtained after you have completed at minimum 30 dives. You'll be eligible to attend Padi Tec40 courses offered by colleges and universities all over the world after completing this course.

The PADI Tec 40 course expands on the skills of a recreational diver to include more advanced techniques. The course introduces students to air and trimix65 decompression gases. Students also learn advanced tec deep dive skills. Tec 40 students will also learn how back gas is used and how to master buoyancy management. In addition, they will learn advanced nitrox theory.

The Tec40 course emphasizes team-diving techniques, self-reliance in the water, and communication in the water. Students also learn more about decompression theory, which helps them plan dives more efficiently. A detailed session is also provided on equipment configuration and best practices.

The PADI Tec40 Course takes about three days. To be eligible for the course, you must have completed at most 30 logged dives. Upon completion of the course, students are eligible to switch gas and use enriched air to dive to 40 meters.

College credit for Tec40 course

It is the next level in a diver’s training, and opens the door for deeper expeditions. For those who complete the course, they can get college credit.

Advanced divers looking to improve their technical diving skills can take the Tec 40 course. The course includes planning, using two deco gases (nitrox and 100% oxygen in stages), and navigating the multi-gas computer. The course is appropriate for divers who have completed their PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course and have logged a minimum of thirty dives.
