You may be interested in becoming an instructor if you are considering this course. Here's how the IDC works, including the course orientation and open water presentations. As you consider this career path, remember to keep the following in mind. The PADI IDC is the best step to take if you are interested in teaching open water diving or scuba classes.
PADI Instructor Certification Course (IDC).
The PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) is designed to prepare instructors for the PADI instructor examination. Candidates are assessed in the classroom as well as in confined and emergency water situations. Each section is composed of various tests and practice exercises. The course emphasizes hands-on experience, as candidates are expected to plan and execute their own lessons, as well as learn from fellow candidates. Additional diving theory will be covered in the course.
Each presentation in the PADI Instructor Development Course is a unique topic. There are 19 of them. The PADI System includes Course Standards, PADI Instructor Manual and PADI Training Programs. Chris emphasizes the development of the PADI Instructor, learning the PADI educational model, and making maximum use of the PADI teaching tools. PADI Instructor Training Course (IDC), which is designed to give you the training and education that you need to teach scuba diving, is a wonderful way to do this.

Course Orientation
If you have been to a PADI IDC you will know that orientation is critical for your success. PADI Staff Instructors are responsible for the evaluation of teaching presentations. This instructor is available to help you succeed if your learning difficulties or misunderstandings have been a problem. The IDC staff instructor evaluates all aspects and provides constructive feedback.
The PADI Instructor Development course will help you understand the PADI System of Education and Practice. The Dive Industry Overview, General Standards and Practices, Prescriptive teaching, Legal Responsibility and Risk Management, 5 Dive Theories and their practical applications are some of the topics covered in the course. Depending on which focus is being used, the orientation portion of the PADI Instructor Design Course can last up to three days.
Open Water Teaching Presentations
Open Water Teaching Presentations are required for the PADI Instructor Design Course (IDC). These presentations are essential to the overall success and viability of the IDC program. PADI IDC candidates will need to be proficient in two skills at the same dive. These skills may come from different courses. To ensure they are able to master these skills, candidates must practice them before the IDC. Candidates must be confident in their abilities and know what they will be doing during the PADI Divemaster course.
PADI Instructor Development Course requires nine (9) IDC Curriculum presentations. These presentations are made by the PADI Course Director or IDC Staff. They must be applicable to the PADI Open Water Divers or Rescue Divers or the PADI Advanced Open Water Course. They must include a Knowledge Development Teaching presentation and two skills presentations from the Rescue Diver Course.
