Bob Hollis
Bob Hollis is a pioneer of scuba diving, a legend in the area and a member of International Scuba Diving Hall of Fame. He began scuba diving in the late 1950s and developed an interest in underwater photography. This hobby required special equipment. Hollis' engineering degree allowed him to design his own housings for underwater camera. Hollis established Anchor Shack, a Hayward-based store selling underwater cameras in 1965. Soon, he was receiving mail orders for his housings.

Oceanic
One of the most recognized and well-known brands in scuba diving, Hollis Scuba Oceanic is one. Founded by Bob Hollis in 1972, the company has become synonymous with high quality scuba equipment. The company's products include rebreathers, dive computers and novel diving masks with heads-up displays. They were also involved in the design of military diving equipment including the MK-25 that is used by US Navy sailors and other naval divers.
Hollis scuba diving equipment
Hollis manufactures diving equipment that is both technically advanced and ergonomically designed. With engineering expertise, the company designs equipment to meet the needs of both beginning sport divers and seasoned technical divers. Hollis scuba equipment is made using the most up-to-date materials and the most reliable technologies.
Recalled dive computers
Divers could drown from the Hollis Scuba recalled dive computers. The air flow control system of the recalled dive computers is defective and could result in the diver losing control over their breathing underwater. These dive computers sold for an average of $1200 between November 2010, and July 2012. The affected units can be returned to a dealer or the factory for repair.
