Before buying a respirator, make sure you read all the details. Don't trust everything you read on the internet. A diver who has survived 400 feet of water doesn't necessarily mean that the rebreather is safe. Instead, you should look for evidence such as CE-testing data.

TDI Generic CR Diver

TDI Generic-CCR Diver training offers a great opportunity for divers interested in rebreathing in a pressure chamber. This type is great for divers who want to extend their bottom times or depths. This course is for beginners who want to upgrade or replace their existing equipment.

The CCR Diver manual covers both theory and basics. The course is five days long and teaches the diver how he or she can perform formal decompression diving using a CCR. The training is successful and the diver is eligible for cross-over to another CCR.

POSEIDON SE7EN recreational breathaher

POSEIDON SE7EN, a new recreational rebreather, features improved internal electronics. This new unit is reliable and flexible because it uses a new generation firmware. The unit comes with a new Configuration tool that allows divers to communicate more with their rebreathers. With this tool, divers can customize the settings on their dive computers, view dive books and customize their rebreather to suit their needs. Additionally, the SE7EN supports MAC compatibility, making it ideal for divers who want their rebreather to work on a computer.

The Poseidon SE7EN is one of the easiest rebreathers to use, with three different models available. The Poseidon MK6 Discovery model was first introduced as a recreational rebreather. Later, the Poseidon M28 diving computer was added to the Poseidon SE7en. The Poseidon Seven + latest version supports the Poseidon Solid State Sensor.

Mixed gas rebreathers

If you are interested in pursuing a career as a mixed gas rebreather diver, there are a few things you should know. To be certified in this type dive, you will need to meet certain requirements. You must have experience using a rebreather, and can dive to certain depths.

There are two things you need to know about diving with a mixed rebreather. One of these is failures of the gas injection systems. This problem is more common in mixed-gas rebreathers (compared to oxygen rebreathers). Fortunately, these systems can be manually overridden in the event of a malfunction.

Maintenance of the rebreather

For your rebreather’s to work correctly and decrease the risk of failure, it is important that you maintain it properly. Regular maintenance will prolong the life of your rebreather, decrease the chance of it failing, and improve its efficiency. You can take care of your rebreather by following the instructions provided in its manual.

Rebreathers can be temperamental equipment. You need to know how you can maintain them. Pre- and post-dive checks are essential. Learn how to properly use your equipment.

Rebreather's disadvantages

Rebreathers are very sophisticated, and they require additional training to use them safely. Many manufacturers won't sell them if they aren’t certified. They are notoriously difficult on equipment and can sometimes fail. They can also leak oxygen into the loop. This can prove to be dangerous.

Rebreathers are not only difficult to operate, but also expensive to use. Rebreathers have more complexity and require more training. Rebreathers require more advanced diving skills.
