Bob Hollis
Bob Hollis, a pioneer in the diving industry and a local legend, is a member of International Scuba Diving Hall of Fame. In the late 1950s, Hollis started scuba diving and began to take up underwater photography. This new hobby required specialized equipment. Hollis, who holds an engineering degree, developed his own housings to fit underwater cameras. Hollis, a Hayward, California-based underwater camera retailer, opened Anchor Shack in 1965. Soon, he started to get mail orders for the housings.
Oceanic
The Hollis Scuba Oceanic name is one of the most well-known in scuba dive. The company was founded by Bob Hollis back in 1972 and has been synonymous with high-quality scuba equipment. Products include dive computers, rebreathers and new diving masks with heads up displays. They are also responsible for the development of military diving gear, including the MK-25 used by US Navy Navy frogmen as well as other naval work divers.

Recalled dive computers
Hollis has recalled two dive computers. One of the flaws in them can lead to drowning. A faulty air flow control system in the recalled dive computers could lead to a diver losing control of their underwater breathing. These dive computers were purchased between November 2010 to July 2012 for around $1200. You can return the affected units to the factory or dealer for repairs.
Warranty
Hollis Scuba Warranty will protect your investment by ensuring the equipment meets your requirements. As long as you properly care for it, the warranty will cover recreational scuba diving. Hollis can exchange your equipment or provide a refund if there are any problems. This warranty does however not cover shipping costs. Your warranty will also be null if your equipment is used for commercial or military purposes.
