Is Scuba E-Learning Right For You?

certification for scuba diving

Scuba eLearning allows for online study and is used by many educators and professionals. Scuba eLearning provides engaging and prescriptive reviews of scuba procedures and principles. It has two equally important components: knowledge review with ReActivate eLearning, and diving skill refresher with PADI Professional. ReActivate certification cards are issued to divers who have successfully completed the program. A ReActivate Recognition Card may be given to divers who have completed the program previously from another training organisation. The ReActivate eLearning has 20 main sections and several scenarios.

PADI eLearning (Internet-based) is an online form of education.

PADI eLearning offers the same course content as traditional classroom training, but it is available online. Both the course content, and the instructor procedures are the identical. There are some differences. The eLearning curriculum is not as extensive as the traditional classroom course. Students must have knowledge of computers and Internet tech to be able to benefit from the eLearning program. Regardless of the method, the online courses are more convenient for busy people.

To enroll online, you need to log in using your PADI eLearning account. PADI requires that each student create an email account. This account can be used free of charge. To access your eLearning material, you must have a valid e-mail address. To receive your temporary and real cards, your PADI training records must include your correct mailing address. You can also use an older photo from past PADI certification courses.

PADI eLearning programs rely on assessment, training and scoring. Quick Quiz-Self Assessments, or QQAs, are available after each module. A short quiz is given to the student. The student must answer by choosing an answer. If the student chooses an incorrect answer, the correct answer is shown and they are directed to the correct section. If they pass they can proceed to the Knowledge Review.
